As an immigrant I came to live in Holland in a town called Rijswijk, The
Netherlands. After my father found a house, we moved to Utrecht, where I now
almost live for 28 years.
After completing high school I went to the
MTS-E, which is a school for Electronics. As a trainee/intern I worked as a
service engineer, in- outdoors working with CAD machines at a company called Greenock BV, at Amersfoort,
The Netherlands. Then I had to take a second period as a trainee/intern,
where I worked as head assembly at a company called BSE Computers &
Componenten (unfortunately
this company went bankrupt in 2000)
After this period I began to work for a company called
Cambridge Technology Partners which is working in the field of e-Business, ERP and client/server
technology. I ran the
I(nformation) T(echnology) department in an
office in Woerden by myself and eventually I got help. But after almost 3
years I was looking for something else.
In Februari 2000 I started a new challenge at a Telecommunications company
called Telfort in
Amsterdam, where I worked on an operational level for a client who provided an
internet providing service (ISP). After working there for half a year, I
could not find the my angle and was asked back (after some people found out
that I was not satisfied) at
Cambridge Technology Partners.
As many system integrators and consultants
were affected by the fall of the NASDAQ in 2000, Cambridge Technology
Partners was taken over by
Novell.Inc. At some point I decided it was
time for something else. Hence leaving Novell Inc. in December 2004.
In January 2005, I joined a small company called
Prequest. They are specialized into
Facility Management software solutions. Based on a product called Magic and
running with either Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle database solutions.
