Keith Polk


Keith Polk received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, and is Professor Emeritus at the University of New Hampshire.
He has also taught at Brandeis University and at Regents College, London. He is a specialist in instrumental music of the Renaissance, having produced numerous articles in a variety of journals and a book: German Instrumental Music in the Late Middle Ages (Cambridge University Press, 1992).

He is also a performer, having played valve horn with the San Diego, Portland, and Vermont Symphonies, as well as with the Netherlands Ballet Orchestra and the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra. He has played natural horn with the Boston Baroque, and New York Sine Nomine orchestras, and with the Smithsonian Chamber Players of Washington, D.C.
