WATERS SHOWS SELL OUT

As demand for tickets to Roger Waters shows skyrockets, the small venues will be playing are turning out to be a challenge for fans. The small venues mean there are fewer seats and tickets. The combination of very limited seating with booming public interest means shows are selling out hours--or even minutes--after the tickets go on sale.

The first show to sell out was the 23 July show at the Mecca Auditorium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Tickets for the show went on sale through TicketMaster (http://www.ticketmaster.com) at on Monday, 26 April. Cellar Door, who operate the auditorium, said that tickets were sold out by 1:30 p.m. the same day. According to Cellar Door, they are hoping to establish a second concert with Waters, but his rehearsal schedule may prevent a second date.
The Nautica Stage, Cleveland, Ohio show for 27 July went on sale on 1 May. The concert was sold out in only ten minutes.
Tickets for the Pier Six, Baltimore, Maryland show for 20 August went on sale 1 May. The show was sold out in a matter of hours, according to 97.9 FM in Baltimore.
Tickets for the Chastain Park, Atlanta, Georgia show of 21 August ahve been available to concert series subscribers since 11 April. Tickets went on sale to the general public on 24 April. Some tickets are still remaining at this time. Tickets for the lawn may be purchased by anybody, but the roughly 200 reserved seats remaining may only be purchased by fans using an American Express Gold Card for their ticket purchase.
Tickets have also already gone on sale for shows in Syracuse, New York; Holmdel, New Jersey and Darien Lake, New York.
Tickets for the 4 August show in Mansfield, Massachusetts show go on sale today, 2 May. Tickets for seven more shows, including three Canadian dates, will go on sale this Friday and Saturday.
