SAMPSON TO READ FROM "LYING IN BED"
"Lying In Bed," a collection of short stories by Polly Sampson, is
scheduled for publication on 9 April. Sampson is the co-author of many
lyrics on Pink Floyd's 1994 album "The Division Bell," and is the wife of
David Gilmour.
During a U.K. reading and signing tour, Sampson will be reading from "Lying
In Bed" at Ottakers in Clapham on 15 April, at Libertas Bookshop in York on
23 April, at Waterstones in Hampstead on 28 April, at the Brighton Festival
on 16 May, and at the Darlington Literary Festival on 14 July.
During a 22 November 1998 interview on BBC radio, Gilmour told listeners
that Pink Floyd are not active because "my wife is writing a book at the
moment and so I'm leaving the space to her as far as work is concerned,
mostly at the moment."
