Album network to recognize anniversary "Dark Side"

To mark the 25th anniversary of the release of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon", The Album Network's weekly series "In the Studio" will present a special look at the landmark album.

The program will be mostly identical to a previous "In the Studio" show which explored "Dark Side" on it's 20th anniversary in 1993, but this time the interviews may include additional material which had not been previously aired.

In a deal struck between EMI/Capitol and the Album Network, many affiliate stations of the Album Network will be invited to broadcast the entire album "Dark Side of the Moon" uninterrupted from beginning to end on the evening of Tuesday 17 March 1998.

The Album Network invited Pink Floyd to participate directly, but were told that the band cannot be involved because they are busy completing their next album. Unfortunately, this cannot be independently verified.

The Album Network also plans to re-broadcast their two-part show about "The Division Bell" around the fifth anniversary of the album, sometime in the late spring or early summer of this year.
