PINK FLOYD LIVE AT POMPEII DVD

This is the cover of the forthcoming DVD, released by Universal, of Pink Floyd's "Live At Pompeii" movie. It is a Storm Thorgerson design, and also features in the new edition of his book "Mind Over Matter".

Mark Fenwick, Roger's manager, has confirmed the following to Brain Damage about the extras to be found on this DVD:
"Live At Pompeii contains the concert in its entirety and a much longer version which includes the concert, footage of the recording of "Dark Side Of The Moon" in the studio, and new material of the band talking in the studio. This longer version is called The Director's Cut and was conceived by the director, Adrian Maben. In addition, there is an interview with Adrian. The artwork and the concept for the DVD is by Storm Thorgerson."

It therefore has the original version (without the studio bits) and this new Director's Cut which has extra Dark Side Of The Moon recording footage. Also included on the disc are various other extras, including cover shots of some of the many bootlegs (aka ROIOs) of Pompeii that have appeared over the years. I wonder where they picked these up?

The DVD was scheduled to be released at the end of April 2003 but may be delayed until May, due to some technical issues. We are in contact with Universal regarding this release, and as yet, they are unable to confirm a release date. Rest assured, as soon as we know, we'll pass the information on to you.
