Storm
Thorgerson is the artist behind the images
synonymous with identifying the pop culture of the 70’s
throughout and into
the Millennium. Storm’s work has featured on a variety
of single and album
covers and collected in books including “Eye of the Storm”, “Mind
over
Matter” and “Walk Away Renee”. Storm’s
distinctive style has made his
artwork one of the most recognisable in the music industry. He
is
responsible for the iconic images we associate with Pink Floyd – Dark
Side
of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Momentary Lapse of Reason, Atom
Heart
Mother, Animals, and More.
We will be displaying more than thirty limited edition numbered
and signed
prints as well as have some of the sculptures that appear
on the album
covers (eg Division Bells, stain glass windows on the 30th Anniversary
cover, etc). Approximately half of the artwork will be associated
with Pink
Floyd. As we are catering to an international audience, the prints
will
also be available on www.jmlondon.com – for those that
sadly can’t join us.
This is the first exhibition that Storm has had since his stroke
on opening
night last autumn in Paris and thus a very special occasion. |
