REPORTS OF 1998 TOUR STILL COMING IN

New reports regarding the planned 1998 Pink Floyd tour are still coming in.

According to a fan in Brazil, the Brazilian music magazine "Showbizz" has published a new interview with Richard Wright. In the interview, Wright states that Pink Floyd "is going to Brazil in the next tour, before 2000." The Timeline is working on obtaining a transcription of this interview. If any Timeline News readers can help provide a copy, it would be very valuable.

Previous reposts about the 1998 tour have included information from events producer Daniel Grinbank that he is seeking a venue in Argentina even larger than the 70,000 capacity River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires. Promoter Andreas Egger is arranging an open air concert in Austria for 1998. Promoters Milano Concerti are promoting a Pink Floyd show at Pontecagnaro, Italy for early 1998. The mayor of Bettembourg, Luxembourg confirmed that a Pink Floyd concert will take place during the summer of 1998 in Bettembourg.

Further news will, of course, appear here as available.

Please note that tour dates are NOT available at this time. They will be announced here as soon as they are available.
