Georgian Greens

At November 5, 1995 there were elections for presidency and the parliament. According to the OCSE the elections were fair. Georgia has a mixed member parliament with a treshold of 5%.
Now there are two Green factions in the fraction of the ruling Citizens Union: the Green Party with 5 seats and the non-member of the Federation Green Movement of Georgia with 7 seats. The Minister for Environment Nino Chkhobadze (female) is from the Green Party.
Zurab Zvania was co-secretary of the European Green co-ordination and is secretary-general of the Citizens Union. He is elected as the speaker of the parliament.
