Génération Ecologie is not a member of the European Federation of Green Parties.
Convergences Ecologie is not a member of the European Federation of Green Parties. Noël Mamère was a MEP for Energie Radicale in the European Radical Alliance, but joined the Green Group in December 1996.

France has a district election system ("winner takes all") and a parliament with two chambers: Assemblee and Senate.

  5. 12-6-1995 European Parliament: 575.247 (Union des Ecologistes) + 391.905 (Génération Ecologie) votes 2,95% + 2,01% 0/87 seats
  6. 1-6-1997 Assemblee Nationale: Les Verts 7/577 seats, other Green Party 1/577 Coalition with PS (socialist) and PCF (communist).
  7. 13-6-1999 European Parliament: Les Verts 9,7% 9/87 seats
