At the European elections on 13 June 199 Die Grünen won increased their number of seats to two.

At the national elections of December 17, 1995 the results for the Greens were bad. They lost 4 seats and partyleader Madeleine Petrovic offered to resign. The Congress replaced her by Christoph Chorherr.

Austria is a Federal state with proportional elections each four years. The results for Die Grünen are:
