The president of Les Verts du Burkina is Ram Ouedraogo. He informed us about the party in October 1997.
The party was founded in April 1991, took part in the campaign for the referendum about the new constitution in June 1991. Under difficult conditions Les Verts took part in the presidential elections on December 1991 and the parliamentary elections in May 1992 and June 1997. The next presidential elections will be in 1998.
