History: Langly is known to be one of three members of a group of conspiracy theorists known as "The Lone Gunmen," a group which offers support and assistance to Agts. Mulder and Scully. Langly contributes to the group a special expertise in communications and surveillance technology. He possesses an investigative zeal which motivates him to work long hours uncovering the smallest kernels of information. He helps write and edit "The Magic Bullet," also known as the "Lone Gunman Newsletter," a fitfully published news tabloid that posts information on conspiracy theories and other topics of interest aimed at like-minded individuals. Though fervent in his belief in the existence of covert government activities directed against the public, Langly nevertheless betrays a sarcastic sense of humor that belies his sometimes unorthodox convictions. As is the case with the other members of The Lone Gunmen, Langly has been known to employ fictitious names and to create false past histories.
